Information for People in Art-related Jobs and Event Planning

The Kyoto Kogei Association works to introduce the advanced techniques and spirit of Kogei that were developed over thousands of years. We have already had many exhibitions in various locations both within Japan and overseas. A major goal of the Association is to use these activities to further develop Kogei in Kyoto and introduce people both in Japan and globally to the great appeal of Kogei.

In our rapidly changing world, we feel it is essential to continually create new venues to reach a wider audience. To achieve that, it is indispensable to gain the cooperation and support of art enthusiasts who can connect Kogei artists to art patrons.

The Association wants to continue to plan events and activities, such as exhibitions, art fairs, and more creative formats for artistic expression, and welcomes the opportunity to cooperate with people in art-related jobs of all sorts. Strong Points

• Our many members (around 350) allow us to handle events in various Kogei media.
• Members include both the top artists in their media, as well as young artists who take a fresh approach to their work, allowing us to handle exhibitions for various concepts.
• We will also consider proposals for individual items.
• We can loan Kogei artwork for hotel interiors.
• Workshops and demonstrations are possible in many media.
